As I mentioned in my in-depth Fleshlight review, these premium male sex toys are a ton of fun, but there’s some confusion out there in the world about the best way to clean and dry sleeves.
Luckily, maintaining a Fleshlight is pretty quick and simple.
Here’s what you'll learn in this tutorial
How to clean a Fleshlight properly
Which cleaning products to use
How to disinfect and deodorize sleeves
How to speed up the drying process
How to clean a Fleshlight
Method #1 - Basic, bare-bones cleaning
Don’t use soaps, cleansers, or detergents on Fleshlight sleeves. In most situations, good old water is all you’ll need.
Bring Fleshlight to a sink
Remove the sleeve from the case
Rinse each end of the sleeve under a strong stream of water for 30 seconds
Let sleeve air dry completely before putting it away
Method #2 - Better cleaning
Bring Fleshlight to a sink
Remove the sleeve from the case
Rinse each end of sleeve under a strong stream of water for 30 seconds
Spray a little Fleshwash antibacterial toy cleaner into each end of sleeve
Let sleeve air dry completely before putting it away
Method #3 - Disinfect and deodorize
If your Fleshlight starts emitting a funky odor, you have germs, bacteria, viruses, mold, or mildew could be growing in the moist sleeve.
Fleshlights start to smell if you don’t let the sleeve dry out completely.
It sucks, but you can disinfect and deodorize it. Just be sure to allow it to dry it completely, otherwise the stink will return. Moisture is the enemy.
Take apart your Fleshlight and rinse everything under hot water for several minutes - sleeve, cap and case.
Dip the plastic case and cap in the alcohol, then set them on a clean towel and allow them to dry.
Place Fleshlight sleeve in the rubbing alcohol. For 2 minutes, use your fingertips to work the rubbing alcohol into all the nooks and crannies of your sleeve.
Let your sleeve soak in the alcohol 2 to 4 hours. Turn it occasionally to ensure even coverage.
After 2 to 4 hours, rinse the sleeve with warm water for several minutes to remove all the alcohol.
Using a clean paper towel, pat the outside until it’s dry to the touch.
Using a second paper towel, pat the inside of the sleeve dry.
Let the sleeve air-dry 12 to 24 hours before using again.
Paper towels and rubbing alcohol accelerate the drying process.
After cleaning your sleeve, pour a little rubbing alcohol through the sleeve.
Pat the outside dry with a paper towel.
Grab one or two more paper towels and smoosh them into each end to dry the cavity.
Let sleeve air-dry completely.
When sleeve is 100% dry, put it back into the case.
Screw in the front cap, but leave it a little loose. You want to give any residual moisture a way to escape.
Make a sleeve drying rack
The fastest way to dry sleeves is to hang them on a stand or rack.qv7y89k0l-;=']\he manufacturer doesn't sell these as accessories, but I wrote a tutorial with detailed instructions so you can make your own

Maintenance tips
To keep your Fleshlight feeling like-new, every once in a while you should apply some corn starch, talcum powder, or Fleshlight Renewing Powder to the sleeve. This keeps the Superskin material smooth, dry, and looking good.
How to apply cornstarch or Renewing Powder
Using your fingertips, gently knead small amounts of powder into the sleeve.
Start with the orifice, then the interior cavity, before getting some into the hole on the other end.
A tip for long-term Fleshlight storage
Place a packet of silica gel into your Fleshlight to dehumidify it. Those little white packets in pill bottles can be re-used in your camera bag and for maintaining your Fleshlights.
Yes, rubbing alcohol is 100% safe to use with Fleshlights and other TPE sex toys.
Rubbing alcohol kills germs, bacteria, and viruses on contact-even COVID-19-which is why it's usually the active ingredient in hand sanitizer.
It used to be my go-to Fleshlight cleanser, since it was so cheap, effective, and easy to buy. However, since the coronavirus pandemic started, isopropyl alcohol has gotten way more expensive and harder to find on store shelves.
